Patient recruitment
Patient recruitment are carried out at the obstetrics and gynecology units of four hospitals in Finland, the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusima (HUS) Helsinki, North Karelia Central Hospital and Honkalampi Center Joensuu, Central Finland Health Care District Jyvaskyla, Päijät-Häme Hospital Lahti, and the Hospital District of Southwest Finland Turku, and samples collected are stored in collaboration with Auria Biobank.
Research Ethics
Our research and clinical sample collection has been approved by the Ethical Committee of the Hospital District of Southwest Finland. A written informed consent is required from all patients prior to taking part in the study and sample collection. All patient data are anonymized and patients may discontinue taking part at any time without reason or repercussion.
